Waukegan is in Illinois, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Waukegan follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

It took full 3 hrs to get through (line of waiting cars) including the test. We started waiting at 11:20 a.m. Saturday morning. Behind our car had been just maybe 30 more cars. The police closed the line so nobody would wait without a chance of being tested. All well organized.

Overall, the process went smoothly and as expected. I went on a Sunday and got there around 7:20 am. There were probably 40-50 cars ahead of me at that point. There was a police officer helping line up the cars around the block. Around 7:50 they started letting cars into the parking lot to line up. I got to the front of the line to get tested around 8:40 and was out by 8:45. The people handing out forms and doing the swabs were efficient. They said it could take up to 4-5 days to get a phone call with the results. Edit: It took 6 days to get my results so I am updating my review from 5 stars to 3 stars. I know all testing sites are backed up right now, but a 6-day lag is not particularly useful in my opinion.

The testing site was busy, but the line moved quickly. The individuals administering the test were very professional and they explained the process well. The nasal swab is painless. Getting the results is the reason I am giving a 3-star review. At the test site I was told I would receive a call with my results, but that is not what happens. I received an automated message telling me to contact the State for results. However, the person on the automated message speaks very quickly and does not annunciate well. I had to listen to the recording 3 times to get the number. When I called the number you are instructed to contact, I experienced the joy of talking to a State of Illinois employee. She was not clear about what information she needed from me, had a bad attitude, and couldn't answer a simple question seeking clarification about whether the test focused active virus or antibodies. In other words, the interaction went about as well as expected when dealing with a State employee.

I am in line waiting to be tested but Iβm giving this 5 stars because itβs free and people are risking their lives to test us. The facility opens in 20 minutes and this is the line you can expect. I was curious how many people arrive early so I hope this will help others!

My daughter and I were potentially exposed so we went to this testing site on Tuesday the 6th. It took about 20 minutes (we arrived at 3:35) and was easy. Yes getting the swab up your nose was unpleasant, but it did not hurt. We have to fill out a sheet with contact information, but that was it. They did take our insurance info, although the service is free. We got our results (negative) Thursday the 8th by 9:30am. Given the horror stories about results taking a week in some places, I was very impressed how quickly we got results.
